I have had a long and varied business career- initially joining Bank of New Zealand in Fiji before emigrating to New Zealand in 1987.
I joined NZI Bank as a Corporate Banking Manager before joining ASB Bank as Head of Risk Management. After a brief stint as Area Manager , Central Auckland Business Banking, I was appointed head of Business Banking Division.
Then came a stint of two years as General Manager Business Banking for Frontline Finance Ltd following which I set up my own finance company which still exists today after 19 years.
In 2010 when 2 Degrees Mobile Ltd started operations in New Zealand, my company Axis Mobile Ltd was granted a dealership agreement- I built this business from scratch with a store in Hunters Plaza and at the Airport; this business was sold in 2015.
I have been a Justice of the Peace serving the community since 2009 and have been appointed under Section 11 of the Marriage Act 1955 by the Department of internal Affairs as a Registered Marriage Celebrant.
On 17 April 2013 the New Zealand Parliament passed the Marriage (Definition of Marriage) Amendment Bill. From the end of August 2013 same sex and transgendered couples are able to marry and I am able to offer this service also.
